Alice Marie (Rice) Gedman

Alice Marie (Rice) Gedman, 81, of Roscoe, PA, died Friday, March 20, 2020.

She was born Wednesday, November 23, 1938, in Clover Hill, Pa, a daughter of the late Ralph L. Rice and Sallie (Baker) Rice.

She was a member of the Blainesburg Bible Church.

In addition to her parents Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Whitey" Gedman (2011); son, David Garrett; grandson, Gary Hoover, Jr. (2019); sister Marian Stasko and 4 brothers, Ralph, George, William and James Rice.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Gary Hoover, Sr.; two brothers, Elmer Rice of Deemston and David Rice of Roscoe; four grandchildren, Joseph Garrett and wife Amanda, Connie Watson (Christopher Nolan), Kerri Hoover, and Bobbi Jo Hoover.  Also surviving are 7 great grandchildren, Mykel Nolan, Joseph Paul Garrett, Kiera Nolan, William David Healy, Angel Hoover, Jonathan Garrett, Joshua Garrett and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to  the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA.   Please note that due to the current State and Federal Mandated Safety Precautions, there will be no public visitation. Visitation and funeral services, will be limited to her immediate family.   Thank you for your patience and understanding at this difficult time.  

 Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
