Angelina Parrinello Rao Obituary

Angelina Parrinello Rao, 93, went to meet her Lord June 25, 2017.  Born in 1923 in California, PA, she resided in Uniontown, PA, and raised her daughters, Christine Rao Bright (partner Robert Merrick), Karyn Rao King, deceased, and Suzanne Rao Estock (husband Michael).  While living in PA, she taught Sunday school at the Uniontown Free Methodist Church for many years and worked as a bookkeeper for Cantalamessa Cleaners.

 

Later in life she worked for the Department of Corrections for the state of CA and attended Sierra College in Sacramento, retiring to La Mesa, CA, to be close to her family there.  Angelina loved her family, animals of all kinds, and nature.  She enjoyed camping, hiking and fishing all of her life.  She was a strong woman of faith and courage.

 

Angelina is survived by her sister Jennie McMonagle;  five grandchildren - Robert Slampak (wife Faith), Kimberly Slampak Kreifeldt (husband Max), Kenneth Slampak (wife Janie), Steven Slampak (wife Pam) and Nathan Glass; nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins, and her beloved dog Dougie, who now resides with Kimberly and her family.

 

Visitation (10 am) and a memorial service (11 am) will be held on July 15 in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor323 4th Street, California, PA 15419, (724-938-2210).  To sign the register book or leave condolences please visit Mariscottifuneralhome.com. 

 

Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery, California, PA.
