Ashley Lynn (Sharrer) McCune

It is with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits that we announce the passing of Ashley Lynn McCune, who was born on July 18, 1984, in Monongahela, PA, and left us too soon on May 3, 2025. Ashley, a dedicated nurse at Anova Healthcare, touched countless lives with her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the care of others.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leroy and Mildred Sharrer and her maternal grandparents, Gordon Moneypenny, and Ann Moneypenny Shetler. Along with her beloved fur baby Marley.

Ashley is survived by her loving husband, James (J.D) McCune, and their bright and beautiful daughters, Haverlee and Chelsea. She is also cherished by her father, Gary Sharrer, and her mother, Virginia Sharrer. She leaves behind a close-knit family, including her sister Kristi Lowden, brother-in-law David and their children Jackson and Kennedy. Her brother Adam Sharrer, sister-in-law Becky and their children Codie, Delaney, and Emery. Whom she loved dearly. Additionally, she is survived by her cherished aunt and uncle, Brenda, and Paul Hotz, along with her cousins Stephanie Freeman (Mark), and their children, Everett, Olivia, and Poppy who will forever hold her memory dear.

As we come together to celebrate her life, we invite all who knew and loved Ashley to join us for visitation on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc. Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA.

Ashley’s Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Kevin Spear, officiating.  Let us honor Ashley's life, sharing joyful stories, joyful memories, and embracing the legacy of love she has left behind. While Ashley may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever inspire us to care for one another, just as she dedicated her life to doing.
