Carl "Jay" S. Steele, Jr.

Carl Scott "Jay" Steele, Jr., 83, of California, PA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 16, 2016.

He was born Friday, July 21, 1933, in Monessen, PA, a son of the late Carl Scott Steele, Sr. and the late "Tillie" (Maykovich) Steele.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of California,

In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Steele on November 7, 2015.

Left to cherish his memory are his four children, Karen Moluski and husband Walter of Daisytown, PA, Kimberly Steele of Pittsburgh, PA, Brian Steele of California, PA, and Michael Steele of Ocean City, MD; brothers, Harry Steele and wife Barbara of Greeneville, SC, Raymond Steele and wife Nancy of Williamston, SC, and Richard “Dick” Steele and wife Diane of Dallas, TX; his very special Granddaughter, Morgan Moluski and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 11 am to 1 pm when funeral services will begin with Rev. Kenneth Custer, officiating.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
