Donald Lee Higinbotham, Sr., 79, of W. Brownsville, PA, died Friday, December 16, 2016.
He was born Saturday, September 25, 1937, in Grindstone, PA, a son of the late Todd Craft Higinbotham and the late Ada Agnes (Miller) Higinbotham.
Don was a member of California Hill Gun Club, and the National Pike Steam Gas and Horse Association, He enjoyed traveling in his motor coach and camping after he retired.
He was retired after 42 years as an owner/operator truck driver.
In addition to his parents Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Robert William Higinbotham; 2 sisters at birth; brother-in-law, Robert Glover and daughter-in-law, Carmen Higinbotham.
Left to cherish his memory are wife, of 59 years, Patricia Ann (Gribble) Higinbotham; six children, Donald L Higinbotham, Jr. and wife Rosalind of Malden, PA, Ricky and Charlotte Higinbotham of Morgantown, WV, Michael and Tammy Higinbotham of Malden, PA, Ronald Higinbotham of LaBelle, PA, and Haylee and Ronald Jr. both at home; three brothers, Todd Higinbotham and wife Eleanor of Grindstone, PA, Orville Higinbotham and wife Maxine of Smithfield, PA, Leroy Higinbotham and wife Evelyn of Smock, PA, and Jane Glover of Perryopolis, PA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren Donald L. Higinbotham III and wife Jill, Leah and Duke Bonfili, Lori and D.J. Sorensen, Cody Higinbotham and fiancé Bry Chidister, Michael Higinbotham Jr., Amanda and Marshall Fife, Kyle Robert Higinbotham, Danielle Higinbotham, Felicia Higinbotham, Josh Higinbotham,; and 6 great grandchildren, Donald L. “Donovan” Higinbotham IV, Colton, Antonia, Bradley, Harper and Haven Grace and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and until 11am on Tuesday, when funeral services will be held in the funeral home with Rev. David Chafin officiating.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
