Ethel Marie Rankin

Ethel Marie Smith Rankin, 93, of California, PA, died Sunday, August 13, 2017.

She was born Tuesday, July 8, 1924, in California, PA, the daughter of the late Bertrum and Theresa (Papini) Smith.

She was a member of the California United Methodist Church where she also sung in the Church Choir.

In addition to her parents Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Warren Rankin on August 16, 2002.

Left to cherish her memory are numerous cousins, several nieces and nephews and her dog Mitzi.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 4-8 pm.

Funeral Services will be held in the California United Methodist Church on Thursday, at 10:30 am with Pastor Dawn Hargraves officiating.  Everyone is asked to meet directly at the Church on Thursday morning.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the California United Methodist Church, the California Public Library, the Donnell House or the Center in the Woods.
