Evan Karl Marion Chafin

Evan Karl Marion Chafin, born on November 15, 1990, was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose life was tragically cut short on August 25, 2025, due to an unforeseen incident. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Kathy Chafin, and his cherished brothers, Ryan and wife, Molly; and Neil and partner, Michelle Douyon. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Chafin.

Evan will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. He led a life filled with passion, enthusiasm, and a unique ability to bring people together. His laughter was contagious, and his kindness touched the hearts of many. Though his time with us was far too short, he leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

He worked in the restaurant industry in Pittsburgh; and his passion was to provide his guests with the best possible hospitality in the city. He also enjoyed seasonal work with UPS delivering holiday packages.

Evan chose to be an organ donor to continue his legacy of caring for others. By doing so, four lives were saved, and countless others will receive healing tissue.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to know him.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA 15419.

A Celebration of Live Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, Brownsville, PA  at 1:00 pm with Reverend Kristen Emrick, officiating.
