Florence Roseann (Lincavage) Olkonen

Florence Roseann “Rosie” Olkonen, 64, of Coal Center, PA, died Monday, September 5, 2016.

She was born Sunday, June 15, 1952, in Brownsville, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Wonetta (Chisler) Lincavage.

She was a member of the Roscoe American Legion, Dunlevy American Legion, Allenport Rod and Gun Club, Roscoe Slovak Club, Belle Vernon Russian Club, and Monessen Eagles.  Rosie’s favorite pastimes were playing bingo and the Casino.

In addition to her parents Rosie was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Varner, Pauline Shook and Virginia Stowe and her son, Charles W. Olkonen, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Don Gust; daughter, Lisa Olkonen; brothers, Charles Lincavage, William Lincavage, Ralph Lincavage and wife Anna Marie, and Christopher  Lincavage.  Also surviving are grandchildren, Chanda Pone, Kara Olkonen, Nicholas Ely, Charles Olkonen III, and Ian Dunseath and one great-grandson, Roman Edmonson.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and until 11 am on Friday, September 9, 2016 with Rev. B.T. Gulligan officiating.

Interment will be private and at the convenience
