Helen B. Messick, 88, of Clarence, PA and formerly of Whitaker, PA died Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
She was born Wednesday, August 6, 1930, in Snow Shoe, PA the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Billy) Biggans.
She was a member of the Dormition of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church in Clarence, PA.
In addition to her parents Helen was preceded in death by her husband George Messick on July 6, 2017; 7 sisters, and 5 brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are four children, Dennis Messick Sr. and wife Elaine of Ellsworth, PA, Judy Antol and husband Ron of Crawfordville, FL, Donald Messick and wife Miriam of Forrest Hills, PA, and Ron Messick and wife Sherry of Long Branch, PA; sister, Genevieve Catherman, of Runville, PA. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received for a Funeral Divine Liturgy in the Dormition of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church in Clarence, PA on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 11:00 am with Fr. James Ragan as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Church’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Dormition of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church, 104 Byzantine Lane, Clarence, PA 16829.
