JoAnne Isobel (Freeman) Millan

JoAnne Isobel Millan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away at the age of 85 on July 24, 2025. Born on June 10, 1940, in Ronco, PA, daughter of David and Ruth (Barnhart) Freeman, JoAnne was a vibrant spirit whose dedication to her family and her work at California University (Cal-U) touched the lives of many.

In addition to her parents, JoAnne was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Milan (1992).

JoAnne's journey was filled with love and laughter, particularly in her cherished role as a mother to her daughter, Donna Davis, and her son, David Millan (Viola Cramer). She was the proud mother-in-law to Glenn Davis and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Brian Davis  (Brittany) and Emily Ruble (Bradley), her great grandson Reed Davis and her precious dog, Reece. JoAnne’s warmth and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding all of the joy she brought to this world.

Throughout her life, JoAnne’s dedication to her work and family was unwavering. She embodied the spirit of hard work and resilience, creating a wonderful legacy that many will celebrate. JoJo’s love of Pittsburgh sports, reading, and Bingo will be long remembered  as she embraced every moment and nurtured her relationships with laughter and love.

In honor of JoAnne’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Please cherish the wonderful memories she created and the love she generously shared.

Rest in peace, dear JoAnne. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
