John P. Bosworth

John Paul Bosworth, 88, of Irving, TX, formerly of Brownsville, PA died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.

He was born Saturday, July 25, 1925, in Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late Charles and Pearl Bosworth.

John owned and operated High Street Garage in Hiller.  He was also a machinist for Sheehan’s Automotive in Brownsville. He was a lifetime member of the Hiller VFD.  His favorite past time was drag racing.

In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Bosworth on March 8, 2005; brother, Charles Bosworth and his sister, Mary Medlick.

Left to cherish his memory are his four sons, Paul D. Bosworth and wife Paula of Brownsville, PA, Clifford A. Bosworth and wife Bonnie of Fayette City, PA, Terry Bosworth and wife Crystal of Brownsville, PA, and Matthew Bosworth of Irving, TX; brother James Bosworth and wife Norma of Waynesburg, PA.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Monday September 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm  and until 11 am on Tuesday when funeral services will be held in the funeral home with Rev. B.T. Gulligan officiating.

Interment will follow in Phillipsburg Cemetery
