Joseph J. Borsody, 82, of Brownsville, PA, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 12, 2018.
He was born Tuesday, March 19, 1935, in Brownsville, a son of the late John and Caroline (Kadlub) Borsody.
He was a member of the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA. Mr. Borsody was a retired teacher from Brownsville High School and also a retired Police Officer in Brownsville.
In addition to his parents Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Borsody.
Left to cherish his memory are three children, son Joseph John Borsody and wife, Maci, of Portland, OR, son Mark Walter Borsody and wife, Monica Fusco, of Cleveland, OH, and daughter Bethanne Natali and husband, Alan, of California, PA. He also leaves behind a sister, Colleen Nesser of Greensburg and a brother, John Borsody and wife Frances of Brownsville; six grandchildren, Miera, Adam, Yitzhak, Channah, Luke, and Eric Borsody; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., and until on 10:15 am on Friday when prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home followed by an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial in the Historic Church of St. Peter with Rev. Fr. Timothy Kruthaput as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
