Joseph Martin, Jr. Obituary

**Obituary for Joseph Martin**

It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Joseph Vincent Martin, Jr. on June 29, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on Saturday, March 3, 1951, the son of Joseph V. Martin, Sr, and Madaline (Fink) Martin. Joe was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who touched the lives of everyone around him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Martin and his brother-in-law, Henry Boldyzar, Sr.

He was a life member of the California Hill Gun Club and was a past 1st Lieutenant of the California VFD. Joe worked as a coal miner, a security officer at the Washington County Airport and a press operator for All Clad Metal Crafters.

He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Martin, III, (Liza) and Steven Martin (Ellisha) along with his sister, Rhonda Boldyzar. He was a proud grandfather to Larissa, Brianna, Steven (Shannon Holma), Sarah, Jessica, Eleyna, and Evan. He cherished the role of great-grandfather to Greyson and Bryar. Joe's loving spirit will also be remembered by his niece Stacie (Jared) Lueckert, nephew Henry Boldyzar, Jr. (Jill), nieces Kelly Krahmer and Ashley Mueller and great nephews, Henry and Dominic. He will also be greatly missed by the mother of his children, Bonnie (Crowe) McGary and his dog, Cora.

Joseph was known for his warm smile and infectious laugh, always ready with a story or a helping hand. His love for family was evident in everything he did, and he made every gathering brighter just by being there. Whether it was sharing a meal, striking up a conversation, or lending an ear, he had a special way of making those around him feel valued and loved.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor.  Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 3, at 11 am with Pastor Greg Butler officiating.

Joseph may have left this world, but his spirit will live on in all who knew him. He will be missed deeply, but we will carry his love in our hearts forever.
