Karen Alice (Lashen) Keplar

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Karen Alice Keplar, born on October 17, 1938, in California, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Charles and Hazel (Grimes) Lashen, Karen, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully departed this life on March 4, 2026, at the age of 87, surrounded by the love of her family.

In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years,

Louis Keplar; sisters, Doris Lashen, Lorraine Siegel, and Joann McCombs and

brothers, Buddy and Kenneth Lashen.

As a devoted homemaker, Karen dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her gentle spirit, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Karen's legacy lives on through her sons, Jeffrey and Randy Keplar; her beloved granddaughter, Annie Keplar; and her great-grandsons, Shawn and Jeremy Dawson.

Karen Keplar will be profoundly missed, but her love and light will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
