Linda L. Schaum, age 66, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026 in Allenport, PA in the presence of her loving family. Linda was born March 20, 1960, the daughter of Thomas Taylor, Jr., and the late Karen Taylor.

A lifelong resident of Allenport, Linda graduated from California Area High School, Class of 1978. For 36 years Linda worked at The Valley Independent in advertising sales and marketing. Following the closure of The Valley Independent Linda worked for The Mon Valley Independent as Advertising Manager for a year and a half before moving to JED Heating and Cooling as Dispatch Maintenance and Service Manager for 2 years before retiring. In her retirement she took on the position of Tax Collector for Allenport Borough, a position she held until May of 2026.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John; sons, Justin and Adam (Valerie Ventura); grandsons Isaac Schaum and Jonah Schaum; father Thomas Taylor, Jr.; and brother Thomas G. Taylor.

Linda will be remembered as a loving daughter, caring sister, devoted wife, beloved mother, dear friend to many, and most of all, she’ll be remembered as a proud “Mammaw.” Linda lived her life to the fullest, always looking forward to her next beach vacation. She loved to laugh and make unforgettable memories with old friends. She cherished every moment when her house was full of those closest to her playing games and sharing home cooked meals.

Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

At her request, there will be no traditional funeral service, however a Celebration of Life will be held from Noon to 4:00pm on June 28 at the Stockdale Fire Hall located at 316 Railroad St, Stockdale, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s name to the Mario Lemieux Foundation.
