Marvin Alan Dean

Marvin Alan Dean, 72, of California, PA died on Friday January 24, 2025.  He was born on December 13, 1952 in New Eagle, PA,  a son of the late John H. Dean and Louise Carducci Dean.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by a son, Bradlee Alan Dean and two brothers, John “Moe” Dean and Talmadge “Butch” Dean.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Georgene Edwards Dean; two sons, Wesley Dean (Jamie) of Elizabeth, PA and Alex Dean (Karrie) of Confluence, PA; numerous brothers and sisters, Cookie Lyon of Eighty Four, PA, Jim Shutter (Fred) of Indianapolis, IN, Marion Mousourakis  (Gary) of Malden PA, Marlene Passmore (Ray) of Locust Grove, VA, Leonard Dean (Sandi) of Marianna, PA, Byrant Dean (Linda) of Marianna, PA, Vanessa Knob of Venice, FL, and Lillian Burns (John) of Washington, PA; grandchildren, Noah and Abby Toth and Maddy and Bella Rehman, whom he considered his granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marvin was ordained on Sunday, November 21, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Bentleyville.

Family will receive friends in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA 15419 on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.

Funeral Services will be in held the Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Road, Eighty Four, PA 15330, on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11 am, with Rev. John Dykstra, officiating. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church on Friday.
