**Obituary for Mary Margaret Hollowood**
It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Mary Margaret Letrick Hollowood, who left this world peacefully on December 4, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on October 27, 1927, in Phillipsburg, PA, a daughter of the late Louis “Ludie” and Bertha (Singer) Letrick. Mary lived a rich and full life, leaving an indelible mark on her family, friends, and the community.
Mary was a dedicated speech therapist, sharing her passion for communication and learning through her work with the Intermediate Unit. Her commitment to helping others find their voices reflected her nurturing spirit and lifelong dedication to the advancement of education.
Mary is survived by her three beloved sons, Tom (and daughter-in-law, Carrie), Mark and Kurt Hollowood, as well as her cherished sister, Carolyn Powell (Larry). She was a proud grandmother to Heath (Alyson) Hollowood, Lyndsay (Mark) Noble, and Mike (Carleen) Hollowood. Mary also delighted in her role as a great-grandmother to Logan, Adelle, Isaiah, Hannah, Emily, Madelyn, Riley, and Aiden, who brought her immeasurable joy.
In honor of Mary’s remarkable life, we invite family and friends to join in celebrating her legacy. Visitation will be on December 8, 2025, from 2 -4 and 6-8 pm in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, California, PA and from 10:30 am to 11 on Tuesday, when funeral services will be held in the funeral home with Rev. Amory Merriman officiating. Interment will follow in Philliipsburg Cemetery. These events will provide an opportunity for all who knew Mary to reflect on her life, share stories, and rejoice in the many lives she touched.
Mary Margaret Letrick Hollowood will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but also for her love, warmth, and unwavering support for her family and friends. As we gather to celebrate her beautiful spirit, we honor her legacy of compassion, education, and family. May she rest in peace, knowing she has left behind a tapestry of love that will continue to inspire us all.
