With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nila Gai Parsons, age 69, who departed this world peacefully on November 24, 2025. Born September 22, 1956, to Ray and Sarah Ellen (Pirt) Parsons, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, Nila Gai brightened the lives of all who know her with her warmth, kindness and unwavering spirit.
Gai was preceded in death by her parents.
Raised in a loving family. Gai graduated from Brownsville High School and loved working as a van driver for Mlaker Transportation. She found great joy in her role, relishing the connections she made with her passengers, co-workers and the community around her home. She dedicated her life to caring for others, especially her husband and family never forgetting birthdays or special events. She cared deeply for her family, friends and all who surrounded her.
Gai was a member of the South Brownsville United Methodist Church, the West Brownsville American Legion Auxiliary and the California Young Men's Club.
Gai is survived by her beloved spouse, Bryan Cain, sister Cindy (Tom) Wardman, her cherished twin brother Ray (Leslie) Parsons, her beautiful nieces, several Aunts and Uncles and multiple loving cousins. Her legacy will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry forward the love and laughter she so freely shared.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at the South Brownsville United Methodist Church, 2ND St Brownsville PA on December 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM. This gathering will provide a space for all who knew Nila Gai to celebrate her life and the countless memories she leaves behind.
Nila Gai Parsons Cain will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her light will continue to shine brightly in the memories of all she touched.
