Patricia Ann Carl, a devoted mother, grandmother, and caring nurse, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Friday, January 23, 2026,
She was born on Sunday, April 16, 1944, in Washington, PA, the only daughter of the late James Calvin Watson and Elsie Louise (Doriguzzi) Watson. Patty brought warmth and nurturing to everyone she met throughout her life.
She earned her degree and dedicated her professional life to nursing, a vocation she embraced with passion and commitment. Her gentle spirit and compassionate nature made a profound impact on the many lives she touched, both as a caregiver and as a guiding light for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Carl.
Patricia is survived by her beloved daughter, Robin Rossell (Stan); her cherished son, James Carl; and her grandchildren, Jobie Rossell, Jordan Rossell, Melanie Carl, and Shyanne Schmithorst (Victor). She also leaves behind a great-grandson, Louis Schmithorst. Each of her family members will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness, remembering her with fondness and admiration.
To honor Patricia's life and memory, her family will receive friends in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., 323 Fourth Street, California, PA 15419, Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, and from 10 am to 10:15 am on Friday, January 30, 2026, when Prayers of Transfer will be said in the funeral home, followed by an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA. Entombment will follow in the Greene County Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of so many.
Patricia's love will forever resonate within her family and friends, reminding us of the beauty of compassion and unconditional love. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
