Patricia Ann (McGinty) Pavlak

Patricia Ann McGinty Pavlak, 79, of Jefferson Hills, PA, died Monday, January 8, 2024.

She was born Tuesday, July 25, 1944, in Sedalia, Missouri, a daughter of the late Samuel and  Nancy (Phillips) McGinty.

In addition to her parents Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Linda McGinty.

Patricia was an English teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School for 25 years.  She earned her undergraduate degree at Wilson College, Chambersburg, PA.  She earned her master’s degree in library science at the University of Pittsburgh.

Left to cherish her memory are husband of 55 years, Dr. Stephen A. Pavlak, son, Stephen E. Pavlak, II, daughter, Nancy P . Thurston (William), and daughter, Sarah E. Pavlak. Also surviving are three grandchildren Katherine Thurston, Reese Pavlak, and Taylor Pavlak.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Monday January 15, 2024, from 3-7 pm. Blessing and committal service will be held with Fr. Efren Ambre, officiating, on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, 2900 Washington Rd. McMurray, PA 15317.

Everyone attending on Tuesday is asked to meet directly at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum.
