It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul B. Walczak, beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world on August 1, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 27, 1947, in Brownsville, PA, Paul was the son of the late Paul and Helen (Franczyk) Walczak. He was a proud resident of Laurel, Maryland, who devoted his life to serving his community with diligence and dedication.
Paul was a supervisor for the United States Postal Service, a role he cherished and fulfilled with unwavering commitment. He started as a distribution clerk, then the printing division and finally the purchasing department. He was known for his friendly demeanor, always ready to share a smile or a kind word and a spirit that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Connie and his beloved sister, Frances Borsody.
In addition to his contributions to his community, Paul served honorably in the United States Army. He enlisted on September 9, 1966, and proudly held the rank of Specialist 5 at the time of his discharge on September 27, 1968. His service to his country was a reflection of his strong character and enduring patriotism.
Paul is survived by his cherished nieces and nephew, Frances Trump (Dan), Terri Borsody, and John Borsody who will forever hold close the memories of their beloved uncle. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, John Borsody, his great nephew, Ryan Trump (Marissa), and his great-great nephew, Alexander. His love and support shaped their lives in countless ways, and he will be deeply missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Historic Church of St. Peter, 300 Shaffner Avenue, Brownsville, PA on Saturday October 11, 2025, at 10:00 am with Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre, as Celebrant.
Full Military Honors will be accorded following the Mass on Saturday Morning.
As we bid farewell to Paul, we remember him for his kindness, his dedication to service, and his unwavering spirit. May he rest in peace, knowing he made a lasting impact on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
