With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rose Lee Ross, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, on February 17, 2025. Born on June 16, 1946, Rose lived a life full of love, warmth, and devotion to her family.
She was cherished by her loving and devoted husband, John, with whom she shared more than 59 years of marriage. John was not only Rose’s husband but also her dedicated caretaker, ensuring her final days were full of love and that she was cared for at home until she was called to her final resting place with the Lord while surrounded by her family. Although Rose suffered from Alzheimer’s disease in the later years of her life, she never allowed the disease to stand in the way of showing love and appreciation to her family, nor did she ever forget her Catholic faith.
Throughout her lifetime, Rose raised her family in a home filled with laughter, support, and unforgettable memories. Along with her husband, Rose was the proud mother of two children, Jackie and John, and a doting grandmother to her three grandchildren: Nick (wife Jenna), Tyler Ross (wife Kristie), and Laurel.
Rose was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Velma; her parents, George and Rose Stanovich; her sisters, Barbera Colman and Marlene Voytovich; her daughter-in-law, Amy Confer Ross; and her granddaughter, Jenna Ross.
Visitation will be held at Mariscotti Funeral Home, Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor,California, PA, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A 10 am Mass of Christian Burial, in her honor will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Richeyville, PA, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, the Rev. Edward Yuhas, as Celebrant. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church on Thursday.
Rose’s love, kindness, and warmth will forever remain in our hearts until we all see each other again in Heaven.
