Russell Leroy Staley, Sr., 80, of Brownsville, died Saturday, February 24, 2024.

He was born August 19, 1943, in Brownsville, PA, a son of the late Frederick and Martha (Richards) Staley.

In addition to his parents,  he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Staley; and sisters, Nancy Staley, Dolores McKula, and Eva Brockman.

Left to cherish his memory are his son Russell Staley, Jr., and his wife Carolyn, of Blainesburg, PA, sisters and brothers-in-law,  Shirley Frank, and her husband George, of Brownsville and Elizabeth Franks of Brownsville.  Also surviving are his granddaughters, Angela Holp (Eric King) and Rebecca Staley (Nick Urban) and great-granddaughters, Delaney, Ivy, and Faith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Thursday, February 29. 2024 from 4-7 pm, where funeral services will begin at 7 pm with Rev. Amory Merriman officiating.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of his family.
