Sally Aglio

Sally Spada Aglio, 74, a lifelong educator of Camden, DE, formerly of Roscoe, PA,  died Wednesday July 12, 2017 at Greenwood Country Rest home.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1942, in Brownsville Hospital, the daughter of the late Bernard and Isabelle Spada.  She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Dover Delaware.  She was a graduate of California HS as well as achieving a BA and MA from California University of PA.  She spent much of her life as a teacher and educator working in New Castle DE, Loraine OH, Burgettstown PA, California PA, and Elizabeth Forward PA school districts. She served as principal at both California and Elizabeth Forward. She was active in the American Association of University Woman for several years.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty-three years, Anthony (Sonny) Aglio; her son Anthony J Aglio, II, and daughter-in-law Janae L Aglio; granddaughter Maci L Aglio; and grandson Anthony J Aglio, III all of Camden DE.  She also leaves behind her brother Bernard F Spada and sister-in-law Nancy Spada; several nieces and nephews; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.      

Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti Supervisor, 323 Fourth St. California, PA, on Friday from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM, and until 10:30 AM  on Saturday, July 15^th, when funeral  services will be held in the funeral home with Fr. Paul Grunebach officiating. The family requests casual attire at the funeral home. 

Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
