Selena Marie Tatrai-Ray

Selena Marie Tatrai- Ray, 19, of Charleroi, PA, died Monday, March 20, 2017.

She was born Friday, March 13, 1998, in Monroeville, PA, a daughter of the late Sean Ray and Rochelle Tatrai-Ray.

Selena was a volunteer camp counselor at the Mon Valley YMCA; she volunteered at the Washington County Humane Society and a food bank while she lived in Lutz, Florida.

She had a beautiful singing voice, loved the color red, had a kind and giving heart and loved animals, especially her cats, Lucy-Liu and Ringo Star.

Selena graduated from the George M. Steinbrenner High School in Lutz, Florida in 2016 with honors, she was dual enrolled at Cal U while still in high school.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Arlene Robinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Marisa Tatrai-Ray of Brooklyn, NY; grandparents, Gai linn and Louis Tatrai; aunts, Gai-Linn Sitta and Dana Febbraro; and cousins Lauren Sitta, Brynn Sitta, Maria Febbraro, Valencia Jones, and Arlaina Doswell.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Thursday, March 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and until 11 am on Friday when funeral services will be held in the funeral home, with Rev. David Chafin officiating.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
