It is with heartfelt joy and reverence that we announce the passing of Stanley Jobie Rossell Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on July 13, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on Tuesday, January 28, 1936, in Charleroi, PA, a son of the late Jobie Stanley Rossell and Anne (Mayer) Rossell. Tibsy embraced life to the fullest and built a legacy that will live on through those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Stanley was a cherished member of the Roscoe, PA community, where he lived for many years with his devoted wife, Mary. He dedicated much of his life to a fulfilling career as a foreman at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Allenport Plant. His hard work, determination, and unwavering commitment set an inspiring example for his family and those around him. Tibs was an avid hunter and angler, much of his life was teaching his son, sons-in-law, and grandsons the finer points of these sports.
He leaves behind a loving family that includes his beloved spouse Mary Elaine “Bub” (Stanick), and devoted children: Nadine Jeney and husband Mark, Annette Davis and husband Michael Davis, MD, Stan Rossell, Jr., and wife Robin; sisters Joyce Rossell and Mary Milbert. Pap was a proud grandfather to Amanda Jeney, Zack Jeney and wife Kate, Greyson Davis, Jobie Rossell III, Dr. Jordan Rossell, and Avery Davis, and a great-grandfather to Ryder Davis, and Tucker and Clara Rose Jeney. Each of them felt his warmth and wisdom, and they carry his spirit with them as they navigate through life.
Tibs’ life will be celebrated with a visitation and service that honor his memory and the impact he had on so many. Family will receive friends in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Friday July 18, 2025, from 4-6 pm Loved ones are invited to gather and share in the celebration of his remarkable journey. Funeral service, will begin at 6:00pm with Fr. Jon Brzek, officiating, stories will be shared, memories cherished, and the legacy of love and strength Stan cultivated will be uplifted.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Stanley’s generous spirit and dedication to helping others.
Stanley Jobie “Tibs," “Bud,” “Pap,” Rossell Sr. will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a shining light in the lives of all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and strength will continue to inspire and unite his family for generations to come.
