Thomas George Long

Thomas G. Long, 42, of California, PA, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

He was born Thursday, July 14, 1977, in Mt. Pleasant, PA, the son of Georgia Charlene (Keffer) Long Whipkey and the late Thomas Theodore Long.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas T. Long; step-father, Kenneth Whipkey and son, Tomas Long.

Left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Rachel Roberts; mother, Georgia Whipkey of Republic, PA; 4 children, Elizabeth Timko of Norfolk, VA, Leif Raley of Oswego, NY, Gabrielle Long and Abigail Long of Uniontown, PA; two sisters, Paula Nketia (Larry) of Daisytown, PA, and Marci Long (Jose) of Republic, PA. Also surviving are his grandson, Logan James Shultz; Rachel’s parents, Pete and Matilda Roberts; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his dogs, Tango and Lola. Tom and Rachel are expecting the birth of twin boys in April 2020.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Monday, November 25. 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.  Funeral services will begin at 8:00 pm with Pastor Leonard Pearl officiating.
