William Jesse Piktel

William Jesse Piktel, 56, of Daisytown, PA, died as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, December 29, 2016.

He was born Sunday, July 31, 1960, in Waynesburg, PA, son of the late Joseph and Jean (Polidori) Piktel.

Pik loved to hunt; it didn’t matter what he was hunting; deer, turkeys, rattlesnakes, or mushrooms he just loved being outdoors, hunting or fishing.  He especially loved hunting deer with his grandson, Jacob.  Bill was also into his garden, he loved growing his own vegetables and sharing them with his family and friends.  He had many “loves” in his life.  Four years ago he married his love, Jennifer.  He also loved to go on cruises.  He was the father of three sons and just four months ago was delighted to finally be blessed with a baby girl, Angelina.  His smile and laugh were infectious, and he enjoyed life to the fullest.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Piktel.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 4 years, Jennifer Piktel of Daisytown, PA; sons,  William Piktel and wife Rachel of California, PA, Brian Piktel and wife Megan of Belle Vernon, PA, and Robert Piktel of Elco, PA; daughter, Angelina Piktel.  Also surviving are grandchildren Jacob, Allison, Shane, Colton, Carena, and Harper Piktel.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Monday January 2, 2017 from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Wednesday January 4, 2017 until 11 am when funeral services will be held in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
